The gender politics of the Dutch far-right
For years, right wing populist parties in Europe such as the PVV have subscribed to ideas of homonationalism and femonationalism and subsequently made xenophobic and Islamophobic arguments about a supposed threat of “dutch values” such as LGBTQ+ acceptance and women’s rights by immigration and the religion of Islam. With the rise of the FvD however, the dynamics and ideas on the far right have changed. Loraine Smith will visit us in Groningen to speak about the dynamics of the Dutch far right when it comes to their policies and rhetoric about sexuality and gender.
The event will take place on Friday the 28th at 19:00 upstairs at Cafe Lust and will be mainly in English.
There is no lift so the location is not wheelchair accessible, we apologize for that.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
