Student struggle against dictatorship and genocide: Lessons from Tunisia and Amsterdam

A new study year means a new year for resistance on the campuses. After last year’s encampments and protests in Amsterdam, the question remains, what do we do now?

To answer this question, we want to compare these recent events to other historical examples. The student uprisings in Tunisia are a good example of how students can be organized – and what challenges come with it. Mohamed of the Internationale Socialisten Amsterdam will present his personal experiences on the topic, and reflect on the strengths and pitfalls of both student movements.
