Meeting: From the river to the sea – Palestine shall be free
Israel has responded to Hamas’ breakout from Gaza with an extermination campaign. Nonstop bombing is laying the densely populated Gaza strip in ruins. Civilians, aid workers, children and refugees have nowhere to go. They are cut off from water, electricity and relief supplies. Tens of thousands of lives are at risk while tensions in the region as a whole are rising sharply.
The established political parties in the Netherlands prefer not to talk about the context of this impending genocide. This discussion meeting is all about the context and action. We want to come together and analyze the developments and discuss what we can do. What is the genisis of Israel and the apartheid regime established in the historic territory of Palestine? What is the background and politics of Hamas? What is a perspective for peace for Palestinians and Jewish people in the region? And how can we from the Netherlands shape solidarity with the population in the besieged territories?
